Frequently Asked Questions about Facial Rollers
Frequently Asked Questions about Facial Rollers.
How do I maintain my facial roller?
To properly clean your roller, it's best to gently wash it after each use to remove any excess oils or serums that build upon the stone over time. Even if you simply wipe down your roller with a soft, damp cloth or towel every night, be sure to still give it a deeper clean about once a week.
How long should I use the roller on my face?
Two to four minutes is the recommended time.
Finish with a soothing upward roll from between your eyebrows, up to the hairline. The whole process should take two to four minutes, depending on how many passes you're doing and how many areas of the face you're hitting. As you're working the roller, you'll see your skin start to flush — this is a good thing!
Should I keep my facial roller in the fridge?
Beauty experts recommend keeping your facial roller in the fridge to reap max skin tightening benefits and the added cooling factor perks you right up in the morning. Apply a facial oil or serum, grab your roller from the fridge, and start rolling.
How to use a face roller?
- Always do face rolling upwards and in one direction – never roll up and down.
- Repeat up to five upward rolls in each area. First, roll outwards under the jawline.
- Next, use the face roller to roll out, towards your hairline, under the cheekbones and then along them.
- Lastly, roll flat along the brows, and then upwards on the forehead.
- Work more slowly over the neck and jawline, but be brisk to firm over and under the cheeks, advises by A-list aesthetician Joanna Czech.
How often should you use a facial roller?
We recommend using it a minimum of three times a week (everyday is ideal), for at least five minutes, and you'll see the difference on your face in a couple of weeks.
Do you use a roller after moisturizer?
Use your facial roller after applying a face serum, oil or moisturizer. It is best to use the roller on slightly moist skin as the rolling motion will be a lot more comfortable and your skin care products will penetrate deeper.
Where to store your facial roller?
Your roller is made with 100% natural stones and is very fragile. Make sure to treat it with care and avoid dropping them, which may damage the stone. Like most of your beauty products, we recommend storing your rollers somewhere dry. For an added cooling effect, they can also be kept in the fridge. Make sure to pop it in a clean plastic bag, if you’re not using a dedicated mini fridge already.
Do facial rollers slim your face?
Using this age-old contraption has been known to tone and firm the skin, boost elasticity, improve blood circulation, and promote lymphatic drainage—all of which can lead to slimmer, tighter facial contours. Think of facial rolling as a workout for your face, but unlike an intense spinning class, it feels like a massage.
